Working with a Registered Provider and Home England, Ruskin Drive is a design-led scheme to provide a mix of 67 high quality affordable homes in a well connected attractive location in St Helens. Our aim was to ensure a diverse mix of one, two and three-bedroom homes that offer efficient, comfortable living space and distinctive, innovative features that give the project originality and personality.
We adhered to Housing Association space requirements, but re-worked the layouts to realise the potential of the site and respond thoughtfully to its location. This included the provision of rooftop gardens to provide private amenity space.
The careful planning and design of this development reflect our approach to place-making, creating homes that are not only affordable but "fit" and enhance their surroundings, contributing to a sustainable and attractive place for years to come.
